so i'm sitting here having coffee and i hear a very distinguishable sound out on my deck.
i looked out and this is what i saw.
i know they are around but i've never seen one come so close to the house before!
A neighbour that lives about 5 miles from here.. up the river..
She had the sad experience that a mature bald eagle flew down and carried off her pet cat.
The ice was in the river unusally long that spring and the bald eagles were very hungry that spring.
Yup, she saw the bald eagle fly off with her cat...(very sad..and a horrible experience)

my brother's wife gave birth this afternoon to a 5lb 7oz baby boy.
he was five weeks early (we knew he would be a preemie) and both mom and baby are well.
it's quite a relief really.

Looks like a red tailed hawk to me.. We have lots of them here.
There is also a tree up the road we call the Eagle Tree.. I have counted as much as 13 sitting in that tree... That way they can look down over the river and also look down over the big chicken farm.
The farmer dumps the dead chickens from his big barns.. back over the hill there and all the eagles, hawks, foxes etc... eagerly wait.
I guess I sort of have a bird paradise for rapture birds. Bald Eagles, Osprey, Red tailed hawks, are a common site where I live.
Good picture XW.. strange that it would be as close as that...It must be the rabbits. They will also attach and eat smaller birds.

i got a call from a family member (a successfully faded family member) who asked me if i was going to another family member?s wedding.
i told him i had not been invited.
Elsewhere is right.. what's with telling you who all is invited if she knew you weren't. .. interesting..but maybe she meant no harm.

It really hurts, I know.
Relationships with j.w. family members is just ..well,..not normal, when one fades or is disfellowshipped. They are so blinded by the WTBTS...it really does hurt.
From my experience with this sort of thing. The pain is sort of always there but as I built up new friends and associates it doesn't hurt like it used to. I will never go back, never. That would be insanity for me personally now that I know of all the false teachings they teach. I just couldn't live like that.
It's hard, but I have to stand by my convictions now.

i did not know where most of my schoolmates lived, but i knew they were out there... somewhere.
i dreaded the thought of a door opening to a face i knew from school.
it was like walking through a minefield for me... every door was like another step... would my next step be my last???
I hated going door to door when I was a kid. We were taken in service right in our neighbourhood , right to our school mates houses. It was awful.
